The inaugural workshop of the Como Lake centre for Astrophysics (CLAP) will be held at the newly constructed Observatory/Planetarium in Sormano (CO) on the 10-11th September 2025.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers in Como & nearby areas, so that they can showcase their research, know each other and what expertise is available in the area, and boost cooperation. The focus is on fostering possible collaboration and exchange of knowledge and resources.

The workshop is supported by the European Research Council (ERC) and by the Cariplo Foundation.

The Sormano Observatory is located on the Colma di Sormano (CO). It is accessible by car, and it is approximately ~1 hour from Milan. 

For those that do not drive, a shuttle service will be available from the nearest train station which is the Asso train station on the Milan-Asso railway.
